Would rate zero stars if possible. This location is terrible, especially when it comes to areas that have cluster box mailboxes. If a mailbox is full the carrier just sends it back to the sender and marks “invalid address” without any communication or opportunity for us receiving the package to try and go pick it up. This has happened to me more than 10 times and am sick of it. It seems like there is no training for the carriers or just lack of care. They are doing what is absolutely easiest for them and costing us loads of time and money.

Multiple packages marked delivered and never showed up. EDIT: I was just going to leave it at this but reading all these other reviews on the Ankeny Post office makes me want to go into more detail. I had filed a formal complaint with USPS to find a missing package (one of the few that had gone missing) and miraculously they found it the day the case was supposed to closed. I was also asked to pay postage on a package that was apparently previously lost and the company had already sent back a replacement and I had gotten it (said package I filed complaint on)— so absolutely not am I paying postage. WTH? Was that the original package? Why is there postage on that one and not the other one they found? Super sketchy. I also get other peoples mail stuffed into my box and the envelope CLEARLY states another lot number. These people have ZERO care or pride in their work and I feel helpless. Usually I am not as worked up about things like this but these things are valuable to me and the fact that someone who’s job it is to take care of it until it gets to me has just completely given up any standard. It’s sad. Do better.

USPS is the worst mail/package delivery source in the world. They are government so any specific entity is protected from informing potential customers of a location’s customer service. I pray they don’t get bailed out again with their failed policy and leadership.

I have had three packages lost or misplaced in the last eight months. Wish I could give a good review. Tracking tells me they have arrived at the post office. Not sure what happens after that.

World’s slowest service. I stood in line 45 minutes today to mail 1 little envelope! Please get more help- there were 22 of us waiting in line!
